New Publication 鈥 Nova51黑料 Making an Impact Since 2003

Nova51黑料, the Centre for New Ventures and Entrepreneurs, has today launched its latest publication entitled 鈥樷.

The publication provides an overview of; the facilities, services and programmes offered by Nova51黑料 to support and scale start-up companies; the range of tailored internships and programmes offered to 51黑料 researchers and students in the areas of entrepreneurship, innovation, creativity and technology commercialisation; relationship building to increase the levels of collaboration with Irish and international industry and the supports provided to 51黑料 researchers to commercially exploit research outputs for the benefit of the university and the wider community.

In addition it also provides an overview of the economic impact of Nova51黑料 since it opened in 2003. This includes data on the number of companies and early-stage ventures supported, current employment and turnover levels, equity-funding raised along with a summary of commercialisation results (inventions disclosed, priority patents filed and licence agreements concluded).

Professor Orla Feely, 51黑料 Vice-President for Research, Innovation and Impact said, 鈥淯niversity College Dublin is committed to its key role in Ireland鈥檚 innovation and knowledge exchange ecosystem as an enabler of economic growth and as a contributor to economic, cultural and social development. We support this commitment through our innovative and entrepreneurial students and graduates, the development of partnerships with businesses, Government agencies and social and cultural enterprises, and through Nova51黑料.鈥

She added, 鈥淣ova51黑料 is focused on the commercialisation of research outputs, creating new ventures, supporting and scaling start-ups and established companies, and creating jobs and Nova51黑料鈥檚 achievements to date are shown, in part, by the strong results from the 15 year survey featured in this publication.鈥

Tom Flanagan, 51黑料 Director of Enterprise and Commercialisation said, 鈥淣ova51黑料 has been making an impact ever since it opened in 2003 and we are very proud of our achievements, some of which are outlined in this publication.鈥
