The Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council Partners with TestReach for the Delivery of Computer-Based Examinations
, which provides an innovative online assessment solution for the creation, delivery, management and analysis of high-stake examinations, today announced a new partnership with the (PHECC). Through this partnership TestReach will support the delivery of the PHECC’s computer-based examinations.
The PHECC is responsible for implementing, monitoring and developing the standards for education and provision of care by all statutory, private and voluntary ambulance services in Ireland.
The PHECC publishes clinical practice guidelines for pre-hospital emergency care training as well as education. The Council also manages the National Qualification in Emergency Medical Technology (NQEMT) examination process for developing course content, authoring examination questions, training of examiners, invigilation, as well as clinical oversight of examinations, issuing examination results, and ultimately, awarding the NQEMT at EMT, Paramedic and Advanced Paramedic Level.

The Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) is an independent statutory body who set the standards for education and training for pre-hospital emergency care in Ireland. The Council publishes clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) and recognises institutions to provide pre-hospital emergency care training and education. In addition to maintaining a statutory register of practitioners, the Council approves Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Service Providers to implement CPGs.
