John Moran awarded Honorary Degree
John Moran joined the Staff of University College Dublin in 1955 and
took early retirement from Botany on 31 December 2004. Throughout his
career he provided sustained and excellent service to Botany, to
generations of academic and postgraduate researchers and to
undergraduates for the mycology courses. His promotion to Section
Head Technician in Botany on 1 April 2003 recognised the excellence of
his technical skills in mycology and the broad supervisory role he
played in Botany.
